Celebrazione del 35° anniversario di Watermark

Ieri, 19 settembre, è stato il 35° anniversario dall'uscita di Watermark (1988 ) , secondo album di Enya ed il primo pubblicato per l'etichetta Warner .  Nella giornata di ieri sui canali social della cantante è stato annunciato il Watermark 35th Anniversary Watch Party  che è stato trasmesso nel pomeriggio sul canale  EnyaTV (YouTube) . Alle 11 tracce dell'edizione originale sono state aggiunte anche la versione inglese di Storms in Africa (Part II)  e la strumentale Morning Glory , già apparsi come b-side in alcuni singoli e nelle riedizioni successive dell'album (l'ultima è quella del 2009 per il Giappone con l'intero album rimasterizzato).  Nel montaggio video non è stato aggiunto nulla di nuovo: per Watermark  è stato utilizzato il video pubblicato due anni fa; per Exile  invece il video apparso nella colonna sonora del film  L.A. Story  (in italiano intitolato  Pazzi a Beverly Hills ) con Steve Martin  dove però sono state e...

A Box of Dreams in vinile

Circa una settimana fa (esattamente il 21 aprile), sui canali ufficiali della cantante ( Facebook e Instagram ) è stata annunciata l'uscita in vinile per la prima volta della compilation A Box of Dreams .  Si tratta della raccolta, suddivisa in tre tematiche ( Oceans ,  Clouds  e  Stars ) su tre cd, pubblicata nel 1997 insieme al primo best of ( Paint the Sky with Stars - The Best of Enya ) contenente 46 brani tratti dai primi album di Enya tra cui Enya  (1987) - ripubblicato in seguito con il titolo The Celts (1992) -  Watermark (1988), Shepherd Moons (1991), The Memory of Trees (1995) e Paint the Sky with Stars  (1997).  Nei 46 brani sono anche incluse quattro b-sides -  Oriel Window , Willows on the Water , Morning Glory e Eclipse - che fino a quel momento erano stati pubblicati solo in alcuni singoli. Le colonne sonore in cui è stata impiegata la musica di Enya con brani creati appositamente o tratti dal suo repertorio e in alcuni casi riproposti in una nuova veste.
